Dr Faadiel Williams is a Psychiatrist with a focus on Adult Psychiatry.
He obtained his medical and surgical degrees from the University of Cape Town in 1999. He then worked almost exclusively in psychiatry, both locally and abroad.
He completed a fellowship in Psychiatry in 2008 through UCT and the South African College of Medicine.
Dr Williams worked internationally at the world-renowned Maudsley, King's College and Bethlem Royal Hospitals in the United Kingdom before moving back to South Africa.
He has since worked in both the government and private sectors. He chaired the Division of Public Mental Health at the University of Cape Town for 2 years and served on the Senior Management Team of the Department of Psychiatry at UCT.
Dr Williams is registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa and the South African Medical Association.
He has published in the prestigious South African Medical Journal and has also written a chapter in the textbook: Primary Care Psychiatry - A Practical Guide for South Africa.
Dr Williams has appeared on television 3 times as an expert on Depression.
Dr Mohamed Faadiel Williams serves on several community organisations.
